Awesome Thrifty Meal!!
Dinner tonight... Hmm was it thrifty?
(Keep in mind I made a lot of food cause I had to feed all 6 kids, me, dh and his cousins that were here to help with a project dh is doing)
Okay so:
2 Boxes of Pasta (on sale for Buy 10 for $10. I had a $1 off 2 coupons and our store doubles. So each box of pasta was FREE!!)
3 cans of Ragu (Price $1.76 each. Had coupons for $1 off 2 and again they double. So each can of Ragu $.76 each! Total was $2.28 for the Ragu)
Then I used Pepperoni they were on sale for 2 for $5. I used one package.
Total cost of dinner for more than 8 people (that I normally feed) was a WHOOPING $4.78!!
I am so happy. It was a hit! The pepperoni wasn't the healthiest (though it was turkey and low sodium) but it made a good meal.

Yesterdays shopping trip!
Well we did it in 4 transactions. But each one we save 94%/75%/66% and 64%. I am pretty impressed. It was ALOT of food to put away. I think I have to make one more trip today for a few things that are still on sale today only. Then next weeks ad doesn't look all that good. I am really hoping to stay under my $600 a month grocery budget this month. We are getting low on meat (we buy a 1/2 a cow every six monthes and it is about time). So I am hoping to save some of this monthes budget to add to next monthes budget and order our beef. It will mean no more buying meat for 6ms and we stockpiled veggies this week. Woohoo I am so glad Feb is a short month. LOL

I hate getting sick.
So I have been MIA for a few weeks. We got really sick around here. Not sure what was going on. Had a few munchkins with the flu then we had like a strep throat go through it was horrible!
Found out last week that I now have Placenta Previa with my pregnancy. I am still pretty early so it hopefully will move up. We go for an U/S next week. I am really hoping they will tell me what the baby is. LOL
Kids have had 3 snowdays in a row. We got hit with some pretty bad weather and live in a very rural area. They should go back to school on Monday.
Did a big grocery shopping trip this week. Save 44%/45% and 74% Had to do the trip in 3 transactions. :) Also got back 2 $5 off my next order coupons. I will either be going tonight to do another big order or going tomorrow morning. They have veggies on sale for $.49 a can and my stock pile of veggies has been running really low. I will let you know the totals after I go. :D

Some bits and pieces of our daily schedule.
5:30am The alarm clock goes off for the first time, I have to set it early so that I am actually up on time.
6:00 am Everyone has to be out of bed to be on time.
We spend from 6am to 7:30am getting ready for school, showers that are needed, breakfast, hair, ect.
7:30am Leave for school. It takes until about 8am to get everyone dropped off and back home, sometimes a little less.
8am Mom is back home, I try to do a little picking up when I first get back home, I get some computer time and depending on how I am feeling sometimes I will head back to bed. :)
From 8am until noon it is just the baby and I and sometimes Daddy. So it is mostly spent doing mom's homework, cleaning, playing with the baby (she is 3 now), computer time, making appts, paying bills, anything that needs to be done while it is quiet.
At noon I pick up my 5 yr old off the bus. We come back to the house for Lunch and rest time. We try not to let her take naps or she will not sleep very well that night.
Rest time lasts from about 12:30pm to 2:30. Older DD gets to watch tv, read a book, or color. Younger DD we try to get to nap. If not she is a bear later.
From 2:30-3:15 we spend time together just the 3 of us. We play games, color, ect.
At 3:15pm all of the older ones come home (unless there is girl scouts, science club, football/cheerleading practice ect) We do snack then until about 3:30pm
At 3:30 they are supposed to start chores (if I let them wait until after homework they will not get done) Chores should only take about half an hour.
Then at 4pm they are supposed to do homework (they have until 5pm to work on that when mom starts dinner, though they can work on it then if they need to or if they need help, but normally they are done before then).
After homework they are to get out their clothes and all stuff they will need for the next day.
Dinner is at 6pm. Then clean up.
Showers start at 7pm, story then bedtime. The bedtimes vary by about half hour a piece. YDD doesn't have a set bedtime yet and normally it depends on how her nap went when she goes to sleep. 5 and 7 yr old DD's are supposed to be in bed by 7:30, 9 yr old DD 8pm, 11yr old DS 8:30pm (he runs late some nights because he has sports later at night), 16 yr old SS is supposed to be in bed by 9:30pm but he is VERY bad about sticking to a bedtime. He is ADHD and some nights has trouble winding down.
Mom tries to be in bed by about 10pm or 11pm but then I am exhausted the next day. But I take the time after my DD's go to bed to do more homework.
Um that is our schedule in a nutshell. Definitely not detailed, but if you have questions you are welcome to ask!
